The former artistic director of the late Asphodel label, he is credited with producing numerous landmark recordings, including Mixmaster Mike’s 1999 LP, Anti-Theft Device. A founding member of seminal experimental band Rhythm and Noise, for over thirty years, Naut ran his own studio, the legendary Recombinant Media Labs. Since 1991, he has led Sound Traffic Control, in order to focus on using an orchestral setting to explore three-dimensional space.
