Heather McRobie is a writer, an editor of Oxford Human Rights Hub and commissioning editor at openDemocracy 50.50. Her latest book, Literary Freedom: a Cultural Right to Literature, was published in 2013. Maxim Edwards is an Editor at openDemocracy Russia. He has worked in Armenia and Tatarstan, and writes on inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations in the post-Soviet space.
